Brian loves his watermelon!

For my friend Myla's birthday, we went to China Beach. Of course we engaged in lots of eating and lots of playing on the beach. This video shows my friend Brian accepting a dare and eating as much watermelon as he can in 60 seconds.

Can someone please get this guy a napkin?!

Half Moon Bay Time!

Because we are now blessed with gorgeous, sunny weather, my friends and I decided to go to the beach. We haven't all hung out together in a while since I'm going to school in San Francisco and they are still back in my hometown of San Leandro in the east bay. Half Moon Bay is one of our favorite beach destinations. When we all get together, we definitely like to enjoy ourselves by being silly..jumping around and playing in the water.

Relay For Life

Relay For Life is a 24 hour walk-a-thon that raises funds for cancer research, raises cancer awarness, celebrates survivorship by bringing communties to together to participate in fun and games, health oriented exercises, watch movies, etc. Each team of individuals is asked that one person from their team walk on the track, so a team could rotate off people to walk the track. But each team must be represented on the track for 24 hours. This in a way gives light to the struggles that a cancer patient endures on a daily basis. In addition teams camp out for 24 hours as well.

My community service organization Circle K International has participated in Relay for Life since its existence at SFSU. I have been involved in the event for 3 years. Teams are asked to make the event more lively by dressing for a theme, holding barbecues on the lawns, playing games and participating in a large screening on a movie during the evening.

Relay For Life features musicians, martial arts teams, professors who speak of health and fitness, dancers, massage therapists and other individuals who add to the entertainment value of the event.

Claire's Second Birthday

So my cousin Claire is now 3 years old, but I had some footage of her second birthday that I have always wanted to use. So, I decided to play around with some photo's, a video and some music to create part slide-show, part video blog.

Hanami!

Hanami in Japan represents the Cherry Blossom season.

This vlog instantly caught my eye. I just went to the Cherry Blossom Festival last weekend. I almost wish now that I had taken video of the sights and sounds that I saw. But the reason why I enjoyed this vlog was because I felt it was nicely put together. It was really entertaining to watch this kind of culture in Japan that isn't really talked too much about in the United States. I know about the downtown night life of Japan but not the Cherry Blossom season.

I want to create a vlog like this as possible, one that really intrigues people. After watching this blog, I actually really want to go to Japan now during Hanami season. The music, the text and the titles incorporated in this vlog all help it to be a great one. When I cover current events of my own, I will definitely be using this an inspiration!

Welcome to my vlog!

I'm very interested in the world of vlogging because I love video, I love taking photo's and there's a great feeling when you capture something that you can look back on and laugh about later on. For my vlog I will be focusing on how to's, current events and also occasionally posting up vlogs that I think are fun and interesting to watch.
